Seahawks Waive DT Dewayne Cherrington, Sign Brandon Denmark & S Steven Terrell

 

Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN reports that the Seahawks have waived/injured DT Dewayne Cherrington and signed LB Brandon Denmark and S Steven Terrell.

Cherrington, 23, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in 2012. He was waived a month later and signed on with Seattle in August of last year and wound up on the team’s practice squad.

Denmark wound up transferring to Florida A&M after starting his college career at the University of Illinois. During his senior season with FA&M, Denmark recorded 59 tackles, four sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Terrell signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M. He appeared in 52 games and made 24 starts. Over the course of his college career, Terrell recorded 139 tackles, four interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
