Seahawks Waive DT Rodney Coe From IR, Sign WR Kenny Lawler To PS

The Seattle Seahawks waived DT Rodney Coe from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Friday.

  • The Seahawks also signed WR Kenny Lawler to their practice squad and released WR Cyril Grayson from the unit.

Coe, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Akron back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months with the Cowboys before he was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Buccaneers signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season and was on and off of their active roster before eventually joining the Jaguars’ practice squad toward the end of the season.

The Seahawks signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January but he was recently waived with an injury designation and later reverted to the injured reserve list.

During his college career, Coe recorded 83 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four pass defenses, a forced fumble and a recovery.
