Seahawks Waive TE Bryce Williams, Sign TE Steve Donatell

The Seattle Seahawks announced Thursday that they’ve waived TE Bryce Williams and signed TE Steve Donatell to a contract.

Williams, 24, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Rams’ practice squad.

The Rams elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January before cutting him loose shortly after this year’s draft. Williams signed on with the Seahawks a week later.

During his college career, Williams caught 96 passes for 1,040 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns over the course of 33 games.
