Seahawks Waive WR Marvin Bracy, Sign Rookie RB Gerald Holmes

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they’ve waived WR Marvin Bracy and signed rookie RB Gerald Holmes to a contract on Wednesday.

Bracy, 24, is an American sprinter who competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics and came in third place in the 100 meters. He played college football at Florida State, but left the team in 2013 to pursue a professional career in track.

The Panthers and Cowboys actually worked him out last summer before he signed a contract with the Colts in August. Unfortunately, Indianapolis waived him coming out of the preseason.

Bracy signed on with the Seahawks a few weeks ago.

Bracy has yet to appear in an NFL game.
