The Seattle Seahawks waived WR Phil Bates on Saturday, according to the NFL transaction release.
The Seahawks now have an open roster spot, so there’s a good chance a roster spot will be made in the coming days.
Bates, 24, signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio back in 2012. He spent most of his rookie season on Seattle’s practice squad before he signed a reserve/future contract in February.
He has yet to appear in an NFL.
