Seahawks Worked Out 10 Players Including RB Isaiah Pead & DE Lawrence Okoye

Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk reports that the Seattle Seahawks brought in 10 players for tryouts on Monday including former Rams RB Isaiah Pead and DE Lawrence Okoye.

The Seahawks also worked out RB Bryce Brown, LB John Lotulelei, OT Jesse Davis, G Taylor Boggs, DE Keith Browner, G Kadeem Edwards, DE Efe Obada and DE DeAngelo Tyson.

Seattle wound up signing Brown to a contract on Tuesday, so it’s unlikely that Pead will be added at any point in the near future.

Pead, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He was in the final year of his four-year, $4.038 million rookie contract when St. Louis waived him a few weeks back.

Pead has worked out for the Patriots, Chiefs and Jets since he became available.

This season, Pead has been active for two games and ran for three yards on two carries (1.5 YPC) and lost a fumble. He has also totaled 63 kick return yards.

Okoye, 24, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent back in 2013. He was considered to be a developmental project, seeing as he was a former rugby and track star.

Okoye spent a little over two years in San Francisco before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later added to the Cardinals practice squad.

Arizona parted ways with Okoye a few days ago, so this is the first reported interest in him since he became available.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
