Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin Has Grade 2 MCL Tear

Update:

Adam Schefter reports that Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin has a Grade 2 partial MCL tear and remains to be seen how much time he’ll miss.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin left Sunday’s game against the Broncos with a right knee injury after being rolled up while blocking in the first quarter.

After the game, Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Baldwin suffered a sprained MCL today.

Baldwin, 29, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2011. He’s currently in the third year of his five-year, $47.5 million contract that included $24.25 million guaranteed and set to make base salaries of $8.25 million and $9.25 million over the next two years.

In 2017, Baldwin appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks and caught 75 passes for 991 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 6 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Baldwin as the news is available.
