Seahawks WR Percy Harvin Out For Week 9

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll mentioned during his weekly radio interview that WR Percy Harvin will not play against the Buccaneers in Week 9, per Lindsay Jones.

“Percy won’t play this week,” Harvin said, via SiriusXM NFL Radio. “He’s getting close but not close enough.”

Harvin’s hip reportedly “flared up” last Thursday as he was preparing to return in time to play against the Rams on Monday night. Seattle just lost Sidney Rice for the season, so even though it would be a big boast to their offense get a dynamic player like Harvin back, it’s better to play this safe an ensure their investment is closer to being 100 percent.

The Seahawks are expected to use  Jermaine Kearse in place Rice against the Buccaneers this weekend.
