Seahawks WR Tyler Slavin Reverts To I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Seattle Seahawks officially placed WR Tyler Slavin on their injured reserve list Monday after he cleared waivers.

Seattle waived Slavin with the injury designation and signed TE Clayton Echard to a contract on Sunday.

Slavin, 24, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico Highlands back in May of last year. He was among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but later signed on to the Seahawks practice squad in November of last year.

Seattle elected to bring Slavin back on a future/reserve contract, only to cut him loose shortly after this year’s draft. Slavin returned to the team just a few days later.

Slavin has yet to appear in an NFL game.
