According to Jason La Canfora, several teams monitoring the market for free agent CB Morris Claiborne believe he’ll end up accepting the Ravens’ offer to him at some point.
The market has been very quiet for Claiborne, despite the fact that he plays a premium position and looked pretty good for the Cowboys last year.
Almost all of the buzz surrounding him has involved the Ravens, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see him end up in Baltimore at some point in the near future.
Claiborne has dealt with the injuries throughout his career, which has led to some speculation that he may have to accept a one-year, prove-it contract this offseason.
Claiborne, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with Dallas before returning to the team on a one-year, $3 million back in March of last year.
In 2016, Claiborne appeared in seven games for the Cowboys and recorded 26 tackles, one interception, a fumble recovery, and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 12 cornerback out of 112 qualifying players.
