Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that the Lions, Jets, Cardinals and an NFC South team have all made “preliminary inquiries” regarding free agent CB Keenan Lewis.

I wouldn’t mind playing with (Darrelle) Revis,” Lewis tells Anderson. “Bruce Arians was also coaching with the Steelers when I was there. I wouldn’t mind playing with Patrick Peterson too. Those teams are only getting stronger. I just want to put myself in the best situation. I want to play two to three more years and my goal is to win a Super Bowl.”

Josh Katzenstein is reporting that the Steelers are bringing in veteran CB Keenan Lewis for a visit Tuesday night.

  • According to Katzenstein, there are “at least” six teams currently interested Lewis.

Last night, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette mentioned that the Steelers would entertain the idea of re-signing Lewis. However, Dulac admitted that Lewis’ hip injury remains a “big concern.

The Saints officially released Lewis on Monday, so he’s now an unrestricted free agent.

Lewis previously told Mike Triplett that he’s excited and ready for a fresh start with a new team.

Lewis, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Steelers back in 2009. He spent four years in Pittsburgh before signing a five-year, $25.5 million contract with the Saints in 2013.

New Orleans cut him loose in a move that freed up $2.75 million in available cap space.

In 2015, Lewis was limited to appearing in six games and recording six tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses.
