Steelers Brought In DE Bobby Richardson For A Visit

According to Howard Balzer, the Steelers brought in DE Bobby Richardson for a visit on Tuesday.

Richardson, 23, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in May of last year. He signed a three-year, $1.58 million contract including a $5,000 signing bonus with New Orleans and was set to earn $525,000 this season before being waived.

He managed to make the Saints’ 53-man roster in 2015 and was signed to their practice squad in the offseason. New Orleans, unfortunately, decided to waive him back in September.

The Redskins signed Richardson to their practice squad a week later but was eventually waived to make room for LB Carlos Fields.

The Chiefs would workout and sign Richardson to their practice squad last month but was waived once again within the last week.

In 2015, Richardson appeared in 15 games for the Saints and recorded 40 total tackles, 0.5 sack, one interception and one pass defense.
