Steelers CB Artie Burns Arrested For Driving With Suspended License

Steelers CB Artie Burns was arrested overnight in Florida for driving with a suspended license, according to David Ovalie.

Burns apparently has over $1,000 in unpaid traffic tickets and previously failed to appear to a mandatory court hearing.

Burns, 22, is a former first-round pick of the Steelers back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $9.59 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $885,954, $1.32 million, and $1.75 million over the remainder of the contract.

In 2016, Burns appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and recorded 65 tackles, three interceptions, and 13 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 39 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
