- ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week that Williams was scheduled to visit the Steelers on Friday.
The Steelers could use a complimentary back to Le’Veon Bell, but there is some question regarding Williams’ ability moving forward.
Williams, 31, was released by the Panthers in a move that freed up $733,333 in available cap space.
In 2014, Williams ran for 219 yards on 63 carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 44 yards receiving over the course of six games.
