Steelers Expect To Have RB Rashard Mendenhall Back For Week 5

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall is expected to return in Week 5.

Pittsburgh will almost certainly hold Mendenhall out against the Raiders this weekend and the Steelers will be on bye in Week 4, so a Week 5 target really  makes a lot sense.

Without Mendenhall, Pittsburgh’s ground game ranks 30th in total yards, so I’m sure they are very excited about having him back. The fact that Mendenhall is coming off of a serious knee injury makes it hard to predict how he’ll look upon returning to game action, but he clearly has a much higher upside than Isaac Redman.
