Steelers Hosting CB Patrick Robinson For A Visit

Ian Rapoport reports that free agent CB Patrick Robinson will be taking his first visit to meet with the Steelers this weekend.

  • According to Rapoport, there are other teams interested in Robinson.

It’s been a few days since we last heard anything regarding Robinson.

Josina Anderson previously reported that free agent he has received “some” interest from the Vikings, Saints, Steelers, Panthers, and Dolphins.

Pittsburgh just signed RB DeAngelo Williams to a contract and signed QB Ben Roethlisberger to an extension, so it appears as though they are ready to get more involved in seeking roster upgrades.

Robinson, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2010. He’s played out his five-year, $9,409,500 contract that included $6,085,000 guaranteed.

In 2014, Robinson appeared in 14 games for the Saints and recorded 39 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass defenses for the Saints’ defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No 40 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

We have Robinson rated as the No. 93 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
