ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that today’s MRI revealed that Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall has torn his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season.
Terrible news for the team but they will still be a tough out in the playoffs despite the loss of Mendenhall.
Following the game head coach Mike Tomlin mentioned that they will be without Mendenhall for the first-round of the playoffs.
We’re still waiting to hear what the MRI’s revealed but all reports have basically said that it’s not going to be good news. Isaac Redman and John Clay should fill in for Mendenhall against the Denver Broncos next weekend.
