Steelers LT Kelvin Beachum Out For Season With Torn ACL

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin told reporters after Sunday’s game that LT Kelvin Beachum suffered a torn ACL during  Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, per Mike Garafolo.

This injury will, obviously, cost Beachum the remainder of the 2015 season, as it typically requires a nine-month recovery. Pittsburgh will likely place him on season-ending injured reserve in the coming days.

Beachum had to be carted off the field with a left knee injury, and it appeared as though it was a serious injury.

This is horrible news for Beachum, who’s in a contract year and had previously discussed an extension with the Steelers.

Beachum, 26, is in the final year of his four-year, $2.146 million rookie contract, which includes a base salary of $1.542 million.

This season, Beachum has appeared in all five games for the Steelers and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 21 offensive tackle out of 75 qualifying players.
