Field Yates of ESPN reports that Patriots free agent WR Matthew Slater is in Pittsburgh visiting the Steelers on Saturday.
This is the first reported interest in Slater since the free agent market officially opened.
Slater, 32, is a former fifth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2008. He’s played all 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Patriots and is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.
Slater is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2019, Slater appeared in nine games for the Patriots and recorded a forced fumble and two recoveries for New England.
