Steelers Place DE Clifton Geathers & TE Rob Blanchflower On Season-Ending I.R.

The Pittsburgh Steelers placed DE Clifton Geathers and TE Rob Blanchflower on season-ending injured reserve on Friday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Pittsburgh wound up signing Geathers to a one-year, $825,000 contract that included an $80,000 signing bonus back in April.

Geathers, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2010. Since then, he’s played for the Dolphins, Cowboys, Seahawks, Colts, Eagles, and Redskins.

In 2014, Geathers appeared in six games for the Redskins last year and recorded five tackles. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing just 93 total snaps last year.
