Steelers Place LT Levi Brown On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

The Pittsburgh Steelers placed LT Levi Brown on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Brown suffered a triceps injury while warming up for his first playing for the Steelers. Pittsburgh sent the Cardinals a conditional late-round pick in return for Brown, who didn’t even play a single snap for them.

Brown’s injury was to the same arm that kept him out for most of the 2012 season. Pittsburgh will now turn to second-year OT Mike Adams for the remainder of the season.

Brown, 29, is under contract through the 2015 season with base salaries of $6 million and $5 million coming his way in each of the next two seasons. He could be on the chopping block this offseason.

Pittsburgh also placed TE David Johnson on season-ending injured reserve with a wrist injury and signed TE Richard Gordon to their active roster.
