Steelers Place OLB Jarvis Jones On Short-Term I.R.

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially placed on OLB Jarvis Jones on injured reserve with the designation to return on Monday, according to the NFL transaction release.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned earlier in the day that Jones was likely undergoing wrist surgery that would keep him sidelined indefinitely.

Jones has flashed at times this season and even caused a fumble by knocking into Cam Newton‘s arm from behind last night. However, Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 46 outside linebacker in a 3-4 system out of 48 qualifying players with low scores in run defensive and pass rushing.

Arthur Moats could very well be the next man up for Pittsburgh.
