Steelers Place OLB LaMarr Woodley On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Tuesday that they have placed OLB LaMarr Woodley on season-ending injured reserve.

  • The Steelers signed OLB Jamaal Westerman to their active roster to replaceWoodley.

Woodley, 29, has been dealing with a right calf injury for several weeks now and had already been ruled out for Week 16’s game against the Packers.

Mike Tomlin referred to Woodley’s outlook is “bleak” on Monday, so it’s really not all that shocking that they elected to place him on injured reserve given that their playoffs hopes are all but over.

Pittsburgh will look to first-round pick Jarvis Jones and free-agent to be Jason Worilds in place of Woodley.
