Rashard Mendenhall & Issac Redman Out For Week 7

Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette tweets that Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman both missed Friday’s practice and will be out for Sunday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dulas adds that C Maurkice Pouncey still has a chance to play in the game.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writes that the Steelers will go with Jonathan Dwyer as their starting running back if Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman are both unable to play this weekend.

This would be the first start of Dwyer’s career. He’s been inactive for the team’s past two games, but injuries have begun to take their toll on the team’s offensive unit, and Dwyer is obviously their best option at this point.

Mendenhall and Redman were unable to practice on Friday, so they figure to be a game-time decision at best on Sunday.
