Steelers Rashard Mendenhall’s Achilles Injury Isn’t Serious

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Rashard Mendenhall‘s suffered a minor Achilles injury during Thursday night’s game.

Mendenhall was replaced by third-string RB Baron Batch, but the team initially feared that Mendenhall had re-injured his ACL in just two games back with the team. The good news for the Steelers and Mendenhall is that his Achilles only tightened up during the game.

As of now, the team is still evaluating his status for Week 7 against the Bengals, but the team will likely proceed with caution in regards to their running back.
