According to Scott Brown of ESPN, the Steelers have re-signed restricted free agent CB Antwon Blake to a one-year, $1.542 million deal.
- The Steelers tendered a one-year contract offer to Blake last month.
Blake, 24, was claimed by the Steelers back in 2013 after being placed on waivers by the Jaguars. Last season, Blake emerged from the special teams to take a solid role in Pittsburgh’s defense as the nickleback.
In 2014, Blake accumulated a career high of 38 tackles, had 6 pass deflections, one fumble recovery, and his first forced fumble and interception. In 275 total snaps, Pro Football Focus rated Blake as the No. 66 cornerback of 230 possible qualifiers.
