Steelers Re-Sign ERFA LB Anthony Chickillo

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Steelers have re-signed LB Anthony Chickillo to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Pittsburgh continues to lock up exclusive rights free agents, as Chickillo becomes the seventh to sign a new deal with the Steelers. The other players include TE Xavier Grimble,  FB Roosevelt Nix, WR Cobi Hamilton, K Chris Boswell, RB Fitzgerald Toussaint, and S Jordan Dangerfield.

Chickillo, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2015. He was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

It was just a few weeks into the 2015 season that the Steelers promoted Chickillo and he’s been on their active roster ever since.

In 2016, Chickillo appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and recorded 29 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
