Steelers Re-Sign ERFA RB Fitzgerald Toussaint

According to Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers signed RB Fitzgerald Toussaint to a one-year exclusive rights deal.

Toussaint, 26, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan back in May of 2014. He was unfortunately among the Ravens’ roster cuts at the start of the season but later signed on to the Steelers’ practice squad just a few days later.

Pittsburgh eventually promoted Toussaint to their active roster to close the 2015 season and he was able to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the following preseason.

In 2016, Toussaint appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and accumulated 14 rushing attempts for 58 yards. He also recorded three receptions for 33 yards receiving and 278 kickoff return yards.
