Steelers Re-Sign Veteran TE David Johnson

The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed TE David Johnson to a contract on Tuesday, according to Ed Bouchette.

Johnson, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Steelers back in 2009. He played out his rookie contract with the Steelers before signing on with the Chargers as an unrestricted free agent back in March of 2014.

Johnson hasn’t found any reported interest since free agency opened several months ago.

In 2015, Johnson appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and recorded one reception for four years to go along with two carries for four yards rushing and no touchdowns.
