Steelers Re-Signing ERFA FB Roosevelt Nix

Bill Parise, the agent for Steelers exclusive rights free agent FB Roosevelt Nix, tells Jacob Klinger of PennLive.com that his client is re-signing with Pittsburgh,

Parise mentioned that Nix will sign a one-year, $615,000 contract Friday morning, which is the equivalent of the minimum salary of an NFL player with two years of experience.

Nix, 24, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster and sat out the entire 2014 season before signing a future/reserve contract with the Steelers in January of 2015.

The Steelers elected to sign him to a one-year exclusive rights deal last year.

In 2016, Nix appeared in 10 games for the Steelers and caught two passes for five yards receiving and no touchdowns.
