Steelers Sign 4 To Futures Deals Including WR Tobais Palmer

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially signed four players future/reserve contracts on Thursday including WR Issac Blakeney, DB Montell Garner, WR Tobais Palmer and DB Al-Hajj Shabazz.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Palmer, 25, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State back in 2013. He later had brief stints with the Chargers and Saints before signing a future/reserve deal with the Bills last year.

However, he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2013, Palmer appeared in one game, but didn’t record a single statistic.
