Steelers Sign C Ruben Carter

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Friday that they’ve signed C Ruben Carter to a contract.

This comes just a few days after the Steelers agreed to trade C Lucas Crowley to the Redskins for CB Dashaun Phillips.

Carter, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Toledo back in May of last year. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Dolphins as undrafted free agent, but was unfortunately placed on waivers during the first round of roster cuts.

Carter signed on with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL before securing an opportunity with the Cowboys a few weeks after this year’s draft. Unfortunately, Dallas waived Carter a few weeks ago.

Carter has yet to appear in an NFL game.
