Gerry Dulac reports that Gay will receive a three-year deal worth $4.5 million and includes a $500,000 signing bonus.
Gay, 28, signed with the Cardinals last season, but it obviously didn’t work out the way they hoped it would. According to Pro Football Focus, Gay graded out as the No. 209 out of 217 qualifying cornerbacks.
The Steelers could use some additional depth in their secondary and Gay was an above average option for Pittsburgh two seasons ago, so the move does make sense from their end.
