Steelers Sign Fifth-Round CB Brian Allen

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that they’ve signed fifth-round CB Brian Allen to a four-year contract.

Allen is actually the first player from the Steelers’ 2017 draft class to sign his rookie deal.

According to OverTheCap.com, Allen will receive a four-year contract worth $2,630,188 that includes a signing bonus of $230,188.

Allen, 23, was taken with the No. 173 overall pick by the Steelers in this year’s NFL Draft. Allen is actually a converted wide receiver who tested pretty well at this year’s Scouting Combine.

During his rookie career at Utah, Allen recorded 62 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, five interceptions, a forced fumble a sack and nine pass defenses over the course of 26 games.
