Steelers Sign First-Round Pick OLB Bud Dupree

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of first-round pick OLB Bud Dupree on Thursday.

The Steelers are close to locking up their entire 2015 draft class, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them get this group wrapped by the end of the week.

For as important as outside linebacker has been for the Steelers, it’s surprising that they were in need of even more help at the position, despite using a recent first-round selection on Jarvis Jones.

According to OverTheCap.com, Dupree is projected to receive a four-year contract worth $9,222,286 and includes a signing bonus of $4,967,116.

During his four years at Kentucky, Dupree recorded 247 tackles, 37 tackles for a loss, 23.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, one interception returned for a touchdown and five pass defenses.
