Steelers Sign K Randy Bullock, Waive CB Al-Hajj Shabazz

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they’ve signed veteran K Randy Bullock to a contract and waived CB Al-Hajj Shabazz.

Earlier this morning, the Steelers  announced that K Chris Boswell had been added to the injury report with abdomen injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Bullock, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Texans back in 2012. He spent three years in Houston before signing on with the Jets in November of last year.

The Giants signed him to a contract coming out of the preseason while Josh Brown served his one-game suspension. New York later released him upon activating Brown.

In 2016, Bullock has appeared in one game but did not attempt a field goal. He converted two of three extra point tries and had three touchbacks.

Shabazz, 24, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of West Chester in July of last year but was waived as the team trimmed their roster down to 75 players.

The Steelers signed him to a future/reserve contract in February but was waived as the team got down to the 53-man limit. He was signed to the team’s practice squad after clearing waivers.

Since then, Shabazz has been on and off of the Steelers’ active roster.

In 2016, Shabazz appeared in five games and recorded one total tackle.
