Steelers Sign LB Jermauria Rasco, Waive LS Matt Dooley

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they’ve signed LB Jermauria Rasco to a contract and waived LS Matt Dooley Monday.

Rasco, 23, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May of last year. He was unfortunately among the Packers’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason, and was later placed on their injured reserve list.

The Packers waived Rasco towards the end of the season and wound up signing a future/reserve contract with the Buccaneers in February. Tampa Bay ultimately elected to waive Rasco in the days leading up to this year’s draft.

During his four-year career at LSU, Rasco recorded 154 tackles, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and six pass defenses.
