The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of veteran OT Guy Whimper on Monday.
Whimper, 30, was released by the Jaguars back in February as the new regime began overhauling their roster. In 2012, Whimper started six games for Jacksonville, but still managed to appear in all 16 games.
Pro Football Focus actually had him rated as one of the worst tackles in the league last season, so there are definitely some question marks regarding his overall ability at this point in his career. It seems likely that he’ll have to compete for a roster spot in training camp.
