Steelers Sign RB Daryl Richardson To Practice Squad, Cut DB Jacob Hagen

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that they’ve signed RB Daryl Richardson to their practice squad and waived DB Jacob Hagen from the unit.

The Steelers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DL Johnny Maxey Jr
  2. RB David Cobb
  3. WR Demarcus Ayers
  4. WR Cobi Hamilton
  5. TE Rashaun Allen
  6. OT Matt Feiler
  7. DE Caushaud Lyons
  8. CB Al-Hajj Shabazz
  9. LB Travis Feeney
  10. RB Daryl Richardson

Richardson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent two years in St. Louis before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets, but was unfortunately among the team’s early roster cuts.

The Texans signed Richardson in September and was on and off of their practice squad for most of the year before being waived close to a month ago. The Browns wound up signing him to their practice squad towards the end of last year but later signed a future/reserve contract with the Steelers.

However, Pittsburgh cut him loose last week.

In 2016, Richardson has appeared in three games and ran for seven yards on two carries to go along with no touchdowns.
