Steelers Sign RB Jordan Todman, Cut Two

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of RB Jordan Todman on Sunday.

  • The Steelers also released CB Doran Grant and placed LB Anthony Chickill on waivers.
  • Offensive tackles Kelvin Palmer and Mitchell Van Dyk reverted to injured reserve after passing through waivers.

Todman, 25, is a former sixth round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. He lasted less than a year in San Diego before he was cut and later signed to the Vikings’ practice squad. Since then, Todman has played for the Jaguars and Panthers.

In 2014, Todman appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and ran for 186 yards on 32 carries (5.8 YPC) to go along with 25 receptions for 198 yards receiving and two total touchdowns. He also contributed as the team’s kick return.
