Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Steelers have signed rookie TE Phazahn Odom to a contract following the team’s rookie minicamp.

Odom, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Fordham a few weeks ago before securing a tryout with the Steelers this week. Apparently, Pittsburgh liked what they saw from Odom and plan to give him a shot to compete for a roster spot this summer during training camp.

During his four-year college career at Fordham, Odom caught 56 passes for 740 yards receiving (13.2 YPR) to go along with nine touchdowns over the course of 37 games.
