Steelers Sign S Jordan Dangerfield To Practice Squad, Release S Jacob Hagen

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that they’ve signed S Jordan Dangerfield to their practice squad and released S Jacob Hagan from the unit.

The Steelers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. C Kyle Friend
  2. TE Jake McGee
  3. RB Fitzgerald Toussaint (Exception)
  4. WR Marcus Tucker
  5. DE Lavon Hooks
  6. LB Farrington Huguenin
  7. CB Dashaun Phillips
  8. WR Justin Thomas
  9. LB Keith Kelsey
  10. S Jordan Dangerfield

Dangerfield, 27, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Towson back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Buffalo before he was cut at the start of the 2013 season.

The Steelers later signed him to a future/reserve contract after the season and he was on and off of their practice squad the past few years before making the 53-man roster last season.

Pittsburgh signed him to a one-year, $540,000 deal back in January, but decided to waive him with an injury designation and eventually cut him from their injured reserve with a settlement.

In 2016, Dangerfield appeared in 14 games for the Steelers and recorded 16 tackles and no interceptions.
