Steelers Sign S Ross Ventrone To Practice Squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed S Ross Ventrone to their practice squad.

The Steelers’ practice squad now consists of:

1. S Ross Ventrone
2. RB Rajoin Neal
3. WR Tyler Murphy 
4. DB Isaiah Frey 
5. DE Caushaud Lyons
6. C B.J. Finney
7. OT Matt Feiler 
8. TE Xavier Grimble
9. DB Jordan Dangerfield
10. WR Shakim Phillips

Ventrone, 29, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova back in 2010. He spent the good majority of his career on and off of the Patriots’ practice squad, but recently joined the Steelers.

Pittsburgh elected to release him back in October, but he later caught on with the Patriots.

This season, Ventrone has appeared in five games for the Steelers and has recorded three total tackles.
