Steelers Sign Third-Round RB James Conner

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they’ve signed third-round RB James Conner to a four-year contract on Thursday.

  • The Steelers also signed sixth-round LS Colin Holba.

According to OverTheCap.com, Conner will receive a four-year contract worth $3,106,288, which includes a signing bonus of $706,284.

Conner, 22, was selected with the No. 105 overall pick by the Steelers in this year’s draft. Many felt that he was a good value selection for the Steelers and should give them a decent No. 2 option behind Le’Veon Bell in the coming years.

During his four-year college career at Pittsburgh, Conner rushed for 3,733 yards on 668 carries (5.6 YPC) to go along with 30 receptions for 412 yards receiving and 56 total touchdowns.
