Steelers Sign WR Jericho Cotchery

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former New York Jets WR Jericho Cotchery to a one-year contract.

Cotchery met with Pittsburgh earlier in the week but wound up leaving without a deal. He later visited with the Baltimore Ravens but was able to come to an agreement with them either so he probably decided that the Steelers were his best available option.

Pittsburgh has a good young group of receivers but the addition of Cotchery will most likely push back the playing time of Emanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown. Then again, Cothcery is the new comer here and he’ll have to get caught up if he’s going to be cutting into some of the other receivers playing time.
