Steelers TE Ladarius Green Denies Reports He’s Dealing With Concussion Issues, Still No Timetable To Return

Steelers TE Ladarius Green denied the recent reports that mentioned he was on the team’s PUP list because of lingering concussion issues.

“I dont know what reports those are,” Green said, per Mark Kaboly. “I am still on PUP because of my ankle.”

Green said he has no idea where the reports came from, but he’s on their PUP list because of his surgically repaired ankle. As of now, there’s no timetable for him to return.

“Ankle is still no 100 percent,” Green said, per Kaboly. “It is still not there. It’s getting better.

This fits with what Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said recently.

“He’s on PUP because of his ankle,” Tomlin said, via Kaboly. “We stated that. He’s rehabbing nice. He’s gotten better in that area, but he’s not ready to go. I’m not going to respond to reports from unnamed sources.”

In regards to the talk of him possibly retiring, Green said: “I am wonder who said this.I don’t think I talked about retiring anytime soon. I’m 26. Don’t think retiring anytime soon,” per Kaboly.

Green, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2012. He played out his rookie deal for the Chargers before signing a four-year, $20 million contract that included a $4.75 million signing bonus with the Steelers.

In 2015, Green appeared in 13 games for the Chargers and recorded 37 receptions for 429 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Green as the news is available.
