Steelers TE Ladarius Green Expected To Return From PUP List Soon

According to Jason La Canfora, Steelers free agent acquisition TE Steelers TE Ladarius Green is poised to be activated from the PUP list soon.

La Canfora says that both the Steelers and Green expect him to practice next week with team officials being optimistic about the strides he’s taken in his recovery from an ankle injury.

A report from a few months ago mentioned that Green had been dealing with headaches caused by concussions he’s sustained in the past. La Canfora says that Green does suffer from headaches but is not in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The belief right now is that Green won’t need more than a week or two to be ready to return and he could pass a physical for his ankle injury right now.

Green, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chargers back in 2012. He played out his rookie deal for the Chargers before signing a four-year, $20 million contract that included a $4.75 million signing bonus with the Steelers.

In 2015, Green appeared in 13 games for the Chargers and recorded 37 receptions for 429 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Green as the news is available.
