Steelers Trade P Brad Wing To Giants For 2016 7th-Rd Pick

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Steelers have traded P Brad Wing to the Giants for a late-round draft pick.

  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Steelers will receive a 2016 seventh-round pick in return for Wing.

This news comes after reports mentioned that the Giants had elected to release veteran P Steve Weatherford.

Wing 24, signed a one-year contract with the Steelers back in January and stands to make a base salary of $510,000 for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Wing appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and totaled 2,447 yards punting and four touchbacks for the Steelers. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 34 punter out of 38 qualifying players.
