Steelers Waive RB Brandon Johnson From Injured Reserve

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially waived RB Brandon Johnson from their injured reserve list on Friday.

The Steelers didn’t give him an injury settlement, which implies he’s healthy now.

Johnson, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Penn State this year. He was among the rookies to try out for the Steelers during their rookie minicamp and later signed a contract with the team over a month ago.

Pittsburgh later waived him with the injury designation, which led to him being placed on injured reserve.

During his senior year at PSU, Johnson ran for 23 yards on four carries (5.8 YPC) and no touchdowns. Johnson mainly contributed as a special teams player.
