Steelers Waive RB Daryl Richardson

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially waived RB Daryl Richardson on Thursday to make room for RB Le’Veon Bell, who has been activated from the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list.

Richardson, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent two years in St. Louis before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets, but was unfortunately among the team’s early roster cuts.

The Texans signed Richardson in September and was on and off of their practice squad for most of the year before being waived close to a month ago. The Browns wound up signing him to their practice squad towards the end of last year but later signed a future/reserve contract with the Steelers.

In 2016, Richardson has appeared in three games and ran for seven yards on two carries to go along with no touchdowns.
